About Dr. Salman Falak
Dr. Salman Falak is a consultant neurosurgeon with an MS in Neurosurgery from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore. This former Senior Registrar of the same hospital now focuses on spine surgery, brain surgery and minimally invasive techniques. His OPDs in Lahore, Gujranwala and Phool Nagar, and his video consultations, bring that care within reach of patients across Punjab.

Training and credentials
Dr. Salman Falak completed his MBBS at Army Medical College and then trained in neurosurgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore, one of the busiest teaching hospitals in Punjab, where he earned his MS in Neurosurgery and later served as Senior Registrar. He is registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. The years at a high-volume public hospital mean he has managed the full range of neurosurgical emergencies, from head injuries after road accidents to spinal fractures, alongside planned spine and brain operations.
What he treats
The centre of his practice is the spine. Slipped disc with sciatica, spinal fractures and instability that need screw fixation, and neck disc problems that press on a nerve make up most of his operating list. He performs these with minimally invasive, endoscopic and microscopic techniques wherever the problem allows it.
He also operates on brain tumours, removes pituitary tumours through the nose with an endoscope, and treats trigeminal neuralgia when medicine stops working. Carpal tunnel release and the medical management of stroke, epilepsy, dementia, depression, meningitis and Bell's palsy complete the list.
How he works
Two habits shape every consultation. The first is to try the simpler treatment before the bigger one: most back and neck pain is treated without an operation, and patients are told so plainly. The second is to choose the smallest approach that still does the job properly when surgery is needed, because a smaller incision usually means less pain, a shorter stay and an earlier return to normal life.
He explains the scan on the screen, in Urdu or English, and expects the family to ask questions. A patient who understands why an operation is or is not advised makes a better decision and recovers with less worry.
Where he consults
His Lahore OPDs are at Sharif Medical City Hospital in Jati Umra, off Raiwind Road, at Life Hospital in Bahria Town and at Doctor Care Hospital in Al Kabir Town, spread across the week. On Friday evenings he sits at Gujranwala Medical Complex on G.T. Road, and on Tuesdays in Phool Nagar on Multan Road. Patients from further away start with a video consultation. All three cities are listed on the locations page.

Send your MRI. Get a clear answer before you travel.
WhatsApp your reports and your city, and you will be told whether surgery is likely, which tests to bring, and which OPD is nearest to you.
